Welcome to the Archegetéion, the permanent and undisputed center of spiritual governance for the Synodus worldwide. As the official seat of the Archegete, this location serves as the guarantor of freedom and as the place where the authority of the Synodus is executed.

It is here that the Archegete works with their staff to translate the eternal mandate of the Pharmakon into global administrative and spiritual action.

The Archegetéion is the living embodiment of the Synodus's sovereignty and discipline.

The Archegete

The Archegete  stands as the unique and ultimate spiritual and administrative head of the Synodus. Elected for life, the Archegete embodies the supreme will of the Insitution and serves as the final, absolute guarantor of the Pharmakon and the Serpent.

Executive power resides with the Archegete, who, from the Seat of the Archegetéion, guides the entire global taxis. He works in close counsel with the Private Council of the Taksiarchs together with the Plenary Assembly of members to execute the Synodus’s mandate.

  • The Supreme Superintendent of Global Affairs.

    The Architheoros is the second-highest administrative authority in the Synodus, functioning as the Chief Executive Coordinator and the Archegete’s primary operational agent. Their mandate is to monitor, supervise, and coordinate the entire spectrum of the Synodus's global activities, translating the spiritual directives of the Archegete into concrete administrative action. They serve as the central node for reporting from all regions, ensuring the correct functioning of the Synodus.

  • The Private Secretary is the personal and confidential official responsible for managing the Archegete’s private schedule, correspondence, and sensitive communications. This role demands absolute discretion and loyalty, acting as the indispensable filter for all matters directed to the head of the Synodus. The Private Secretary is the guardian of the Archegete’s time and is instrumental in preparing all internal and public memoranda.

  • The Deacon of the Antechamber is the high-ranking official responsible for maintaining the strict protocol and order within the Archegeteion itself. This role manages the logistics and flow of all official audiences, ceremonies, and private meetings, ensuring that the dignity of the Archegete’s office is rigorously upheld. They supervise the antechamber (Antícamerae) and coordinate the presence of all officials, ensuring the perfect visual and procedural integrity of all interactions within the Central See.

  • The Chancellor of the Archives is responsible for managing and safeguarding all important spiritual, ceremonial, and administrative records of the Synodus. This role is entrusted with the preservation of sacred texts, documents, and relics associated with the Archegete, but also with Ophidism on a general level. The Chancellor ensures that all documents are maintained in a secure and sacred manner, and they provide counsel on matters concerning the Synodus’ historical and doctrinal records.
