Your Questions, Answered

  • The Synodus is a collective intellectual laboratory dedicated to the pursuit of Truth through the exercise of shared reason. We explore the intersections of philosophy, history, and the human condition, moving beyond dogmatism to embrace the maieutic labor of thought and approaching to the sacred fields of Faith.

  • The Synodus operates as a curated intellectual space. While we value all forms of honest inquiry, formal contributions and participation in our academic publications are currently managed through our internal Didàskalia. However, we encourage readers to engage with our public articles and reach out via our contact page for potential collaborations or for application.

  • In the Synodus, there is no schism between the two. We practice a Rational and Speculative Monotheism. Faith is not a blind leap, but the culmination of a rigorous intellectual journey. Our liturgy and doctrine are rooted in the study of ancient traditions and the contemporary philosophy of the Pharmakon.

  • The Archegete is the ultimate spiritual and administrative head of the Synodus. As the guarantor of the Pharmakon, his role is to safeguard the doctrinal integrity and the liturgical life of the Confession. The governance is a hierarchy of discipline, ensuring that our spiritual directives translate into concrete, ethical action.

  • Education is a mandatory path. Every seeker (from Novice to Hierologos) must undergo a curriculum that includes Liturgical Latin, Metaphysics, and the study of foundational texts (from Plato to Heidegger). This ensures that every member of the Synodus possesses the necessary tools to navigate the complexity of the Divine.

  • The articles and Themeliae published in the Commentaries section represent the living pulse of our intellectual labor. While our Doctrine establishes the pillars, the Commentaries explore their application in the modern world, serving as a lighthouse for ongoing speculation.

  • The journey toward the Synodus is not a simple registration, but a process of Discernment (Diakrisis). It begins with the silent study of our public materials  and the Ophidian Paideia in particular.

If you feel a resonance with our Taxis, the first formal step is to submit the preliminary test through our application page. The Archegeteion will review your test and contact you for the following steps, which include a live conversation with a member of our Administration and the acceptance as a Postulant.
