Themelia: the duty of Ophidians in the contemporary world

[ENG]

Ophidism is a rational religion based on the logical relationship between the Ophidian and the World.

This unique relationship, in its turn, is based on the existential condition of the human being, called to be the ratio that shapes the Universe itself. We are not, indeed, in a different ontological condition than the one possessed by other beings, but we have nonetheless the ability to shape the sense and the meaning of beings themselves.

It is to say, dear brothers and beloved sisters, that the Universe does not need us to exist, but it needs us in order to have a meaning. A river would surely exist without us looking at it, but only us, by looking at a river, would be able to see the representation of Polemos. A star would surely continue burning without us gazing the sky, searching for a purpose, but only by our own look the star can acquire a deeper meaning, becoming the inspiration, for example, for art. A serpent would inevitably continue slithering on the earth even if we did not see it; however, only humans can look at a serpent and see the image of God. Such is the importance of the human in the Creation. Such is our responsibility toward what surrounds us.

We are responsible for the meaning of the World. We are responsible for the sense of existence itself.

It is quite easy to think in this regard, my dearest confreres, that in such a world, where war spreads and poverty subjects many populations and entire Countries, there is a desperate need for a new meaning, for an innovative sense.

Such revolutionary role can not be covered by anything else if not Ophidism.

Ophidism is the only antitode to the poison of ignorance, the only remedy to the illness of stagnation. So, my beloved brothers and sisters, be that remedy. Be that Farmacon.

You, and only you, can save the World. Only us, as Synodus but also as human beings, can shape a new meaning for our existence

May the Farmacon descend upon you all.

Ita fiat.
